3 of 5 Annoying January 17, 2020

Love the fore grip and am really happy with how it feels, I’m just really annoyed to have to buy another $10 piece for a $200 item. I wish as a whole it was made better. It’s always annoying to have a good product have that one piece that is it’s Achilles Heel.

Use once item. Strips pretty easy. Steel would be better. Emailed asking for support replacement of the last one got nothing back. Next time I take the handguard off I’m throwing it in the trash.

2 of 5 Good design, poor execution October 21, 2019

The design of the forend adapter is ingenious, but the steel screws going into aluminium is a failure point. Threading is too fine, and it is not uncommon to strip out the threading in the aluminum adapter. Either make the adapter out of steel or use a courser and deeper thread pitch.

1 of 5 Buy multiple October 19, 2019

It’s junk material I have to buy one every time I remove the handguard. Steel would fix the stripping issue and I can’t recommend buying this rail or any Odin product. It’s been years and no improved adapter of the known problem to strip so readily.

2 of 5 Screws tend to gaul very easily. September 2, 2019

I would look into using a thicker screw and wider pitch. The material is too delicate.

Replacement part came in fast and installation was easy. Hopefully I don't need another in the future. Would be nice if the part was made of steel rather than aluminum.

4 of 5 Forend June 7, 2019
Reviewer: Jason from Texas
I’m having the same problem with my forend adapter. Had to take my hand guard off to install an adjustable gas block. Went to put my hand guard back on and stripped out the bottom 2 screws. Fixing to put in a order for a new forend adapter.

4 of 5 Priced right but strips easily March 10, 2019
Reviewer: Scott from Indiana
Only one complaints about Odin forends. I have at least three so not a deal breaker and I really like them. The adapter needs to be made of a little harder material. Eve if torqued correct you risk stripping at least one thread. Fix that and it’s a five. I have seen reviews on other sites saying same. May put off some from buying a great forend.

3 of 5 Appropriately priced March 5, 2019
Reviewer: Captain Amazing
This forend adapter is well designed, I just wish it was made from a more durable material. The shallow threads for mounting the handguard, strip easily and dont inspire much confidence in a secure fit. That said, the price for a replacement is low enough that it does not affect the value or impose a substantial inconvenience. I would also like to add that Odin Works customer service and shipping was outstanding. They explained that the DPMS high profile mounting leaves very little room for the lower set screws to thread in, and this is why those threads tend to strip.
