Building an ar10 with a palmetto state armory lower i figured id buy this not knowing if I needed it or not. Turns out with it on the mag release comes too far out and can get stuck open. Might work better on thicker lowers but the PA10 gen 3 lowers are cut for less weight in certain spots.  Gonna hang on to it just in case I build another

This is a great item for any Aero build/upgrade.  Makes it so much easier to dump your mag with just a finger all while continuing to hold your sight picture, grip & stance.

If you try using a standard AR15 mag release on an AR10 you'll find it works, but there aren't many threads to catch due to the extra width of the receiver.  Couple options, this deeper button, or a longer mag release.  Since I'm using a FCD mag release, this was perfect  to thread on and hold securely.
