The 308 forend from ODIN Works is a versatile system for your AR-10 builds. Designed to work with DPMS pattern uppers, the forend works with both high(2.06”) and low(2.00”) profiles. The O2 Lite is the latest and lightest of all the ODIN Works forends. Precision machined from 6005-T651, the O2 lite is a full 20% lighter than its predecessors. All ODIN Works forends are free floating for accuracy and hard anodized for durability.

The handguard is definitely light. My biggest issue lies in the fact that the hand guard rail does not line up with the receiver. This was tested on a aero precision M5 with the appropriate height adapter from ODIN Works as well as several other receivers with the DMPS Gen one low rail with an alternate adapter . All appropriate adapters were used. For both the high rail and low rail set up they were off about a 16th of an inch. I am also surprised that they do not incorporate some type of antirotation tab handguard is I feel this would give an extra sense of security given the method the barrel nut uses. I have also been able to get alternate adapters and barrel nuts. Customer service was responsive. However the issue still remains. I suspect there adapters are out of spec.
